Gokyo, situated in the Everest region of Nepal, is a stunning destination renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and serene environment. Nestled at an altitude of about 4,750 meters, Gokyo is a part of the Sagarmatha National Park and offers trekkers an alternative route to the traditional Everest Base Camp trek. The highlight of the area is the series of six emerald-green glacial lakes collectively known as the Gokyo Lakes, which are among the highest freshwater lake systems in the world.
